For: Couples & FiancĂ©’s

Most of the time I hear from my couples, “We are so awkward, we don’t know how to pose”. That’s okay, that is why I am here. I am here to help you, we all struggle with feeling that way and it’s totally normal. I am going to note my favorite poses in this post, including reference pictures from shoots I have done. So, let’s get started 🙂

The “Normal Shot”

This is what I call the normal shot. When your parents take a picture of you and your significant other this is the pose we all go to. The side by side, smiling. Sometimes if we have to show off an engagement ring, theres the hand with the ring on the chest. This is one of my favorite shots, because it’s just a picture. It’s normal, nothing too crazy to get started off. I usually start all my shoots with this pose. It helps ease into all the other posing we will get too.

The Twirl or Spin

As easy as the title, a twirl or you may call it a spin. It might sound corny, trust me I know. But, it makes for a good picture and it even gets you and your significant other to have fun and laugh. A lot of the time when I tell my clients to twirl, they look at me and say “twirl?” Yes, a slow motion twirl. Movement in pictures, make for such a natural and fun feel. In the moment it might feel odd but half the time after I send my client’s the gallery they say, “The spin turned out to be one of my favorites!!”.

The “Ring Shot” ( skip if not engaged )

My all time favorite! This is a tad hard to explain but bear with me. There are three types of ring shots I like to do. One, where you and your fiancé and standing next to each other and you reach your arm out in front of you to show off the ring. This shot will blur out your faces in the back while showing off the ring. Two, standing next to each other holding hands, ur other arm with the ring reaches over to lean onto the other arm and gently placed onto the bicep. Sounds weird? I know but it highlights a small intimate moment. Last, just the hand/hands with the ring. Ur hand just sticking out with a nice background or you and your fiancé holding hands.

The Walk and Talk

Once again, as easy as it sounds. You and your significant other holding hands while walking. You can look at the camera and smile or even look at each other and laugh. This shows an organic moment that makes a perfect picture.

The Walk and Talk the opposite way

Yes, I am struggling with making names for these poses haha. You and your significant other walk and talk but your backs are towards me. Sometimes I even have you stop and look at each other and smile. This is great when you have a great background too, shows it off.

Forehead Kisses

You already know but I’ll still explain myself. You and your significant other are facing each other, while the other holds there face while giving forehead kisses.

That’s all for now, thanks for supporting me xoxo<3
